WMUU PASSES SINGAPORE FOOD AGENCY ACCREDITATION FOR POULTRY EXPORT

After going through a series of processes, PT Widodo Makmur Unggas Tbk (WMUU) has passed accreditation from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and is allowed to export poultry products to the country. This approval is written in a letter sent by SFA to the Ministry of Agriculture on January 26, 2023.

"Based on the findings from the inspection conducted on 14 Sep    2022 and the satisfactory improvement of the deficiencies identified during the inspection, we are pleased to inform you that two Poultry Poultry (RPHU) have been approved  to  exporta frozen chicken to Singapore." So is the statement in the letter.

Together with WMUU, the letter also approved RPHU owned by PT Reja Jeva Nisi – Bogor to export. Before approval, SFA had indeed conducted an audit to RPHU Giritontro on September 12 – 16, 2022. One of the aspects assessed in this audit is the health of chickens.

Referring to the SFA letter dated June 30, 2022, chickens processed at RPHU must be sourced from broiler farms certified as AI-free compartments (Avian Influenza) by the Directorate General of Livestock and Health of Hewan.  As is known, all chicken farms owned by WMUU have received AI-free compartment certificates from the Ministry of Agriculture

WMUU Chief Marketing Officer Tri Mahawijaya Herlambang said that his party is currently making preparations to immediately realize poultry exports to Singapore. "Currently, we are focusing on preparing for Eid needs. At the end of Semester 1 of this year, we plan to start exporting." Details.

By getting export opportunities to one of the countries that are famous for their strict requirements, it is hoped that export opportunities to other countries can also be more wide open. As a result, the company's performance can also be boosted in the long run.
